You can update the following from within your charity account:
- Your charity's registered address and contact phone number. We use this for administrative purposes only.
- Your charity's contact email and web address. These show on your JustGiving profile page.
How do I update these details?
Just follow these steps:
- Log in to your charity account
- Go to the Settings tab
- Click on Edit charity details to update your charity address and the contact details displayed on your public profile page
How do I update our charity's name, registration number, or Gift Aid number?
Please contact the Charity Support Team with these changes as soon a possible and we'll update the account for you.
If you have a new charity registration number* or you’re changing to a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) we can simply update your existing JustGiving account.
However, it’s best to not update any details until you’ve received both your new charity registration number and your new Gift Aid number as we won't be able to claim Gift Aid for you with your new charity number and the old HMRC number.
Please check your charity regulator's website to make sure that it publicly lists the new entity as the successor to your current charity. If your charity regulator's website has not been updated, please also supply a legal document that verifies the change. For example, this can be minutes from an AGM or a Transfer of Assets.
Once you have your new charity number, and Gift Aid number please contact the Charity Support Team. We'll update your account for you and let HMRC know we have your new gift aid number.
*Please note:
If we are not informed of your new charity registration number before the old number is de-listed on the Charity Commission register, this will result in the cancellation of your charity account and removal from JustGiving.
