We’ve changed the way you log into your Charity account.
We now ask you to log in with a Blackbaud ID which is linked to your JustGiving account. This gives you access to our Multi-Factor Authentication service, which further strengthens the security of your JustGiving account.
What is Blackbaud ID?
Blackbaud ID is a simple way to create one set of login credentials to securely access JustGiving and other Blackbaud products and Support resources.
It also enables you to benefit from enhanced security using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-Factor Authentication or MFA provides an added layer of security for you when logging in to your JustGiving account. It’s a way of confirming your identity with more than just your email address and password, using a second “factor” to prove your identity and protect against identity theft. This means that when you log in, a one-time password will be sent to an MFA app of choice on your phone or via SMS. You’ll need to enter this in addition to your username and password. You have the option to pause MFA for 30 days when using the same device and browser to log in to your JustGiving Account.
Getting started with Blackbaud ID and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
When logging in to your JustGiving account for the first time, after the release of Blackbaud ID, you’ll be asked to create a Blackbaud ID (if you don’t yet have one), which we’ll then connect with your JustGiving account. Once you have followed the onscreen steps and done this successfully, you’ll be asked to set up MFA. You can choose whether to receive a secure code via text message or an authenticator app to authorise your sign in.
You’ll only need to go through the steps to create a Blackbaud ID and enable MFA once. After it has been done, all you’ll need to do to log into your account is enter your Blackbaud ID email address and password, followed by the one-time access code sent to you on your authentication app or via text. You have the option to pause MFA for 30 days when using the same device and browser to log in to your JustGiving Account.
